A link to EVERYTHING you will need for this class may be found on our Class Assignment List. This information may also be found on our Google Classroom STREAM page.
Creative Writing is a course designed for those students who wish to develop their skills as
writers as well as gain a better understanding of writing as a craft. You should already have solid writing and grammar skills, be willing to share work and criticisms with classmates, and be able to meet set deadlines.
Throughout the year, you will read and analyze exemplary works of literature and watch tutorials from published authors to provide insight and inspiration for various aspects of the craft. You will will also be given ample time in class to write, peer-edit, and revise small and medium-sized writing assignments that cater to your own interests and abilities on a daily basis.
You will leave this course with a wealth of resources to reference for years down the road and a diverse portfolio comprised of self-created narratives, poems, plays, articles, and essays that are rife with inventive ideas and engaging language.
I hope everyone had a fantastic summer and is ready to put your best foot forward so we can all get the most out of this class and enjoy our time here.
