Culinary Arts 1 is sthe first course in our Culinary Arts pathway program. The course is for students in grades 9-12. The Course
focuses specifically on introductions ro topics such as sanitation, safety, weights & measures, food prepartion, technology, consumerism, and nutrition.
Course content includes the fundamental dconcepts of food prepartion, meal planning, shopping, kitchen workflow, efficient knife skill instruction and
critical thinking skills.
Students are required to abide by all safety and sanitation guidelines at all times in kitchen lab, inclding proper dress code standards.
