• This course is designed to introduce students to basic methods and practices in animation. The

course will provide an overview of techniques ranging from hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation,

to object animation and pixilation. Students will learn how to draw, color, manipulate, and animate

    – first primitive – then more complex shapes and characters in a timeline. Students will learn to

work with sound in the timeline with animated graphics, and export the projects in self-contained

files. Students completing the class will have a foundational understanding of, and practical

experience in creating two-dimensional animated graphics that can be used in multimedia-based

    applications.
