Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students
I hope that you all are doing well in the midst of uncertainties that are surrounding us. As you know by now, we will be communicating via technology for our daily assignments. While this form of communicating through technology is familiar to us the act of learning remotely through online resources may be challenging. Remember this format is new for all involved and we will accomplish it together.
For Biology and Environmental Chemistry we will rely on the use of Google Classroom. I have created a new topic titled “ Emergency Closing” where I have posted a refresher on how to use google classroom as well as another fun tool called Google Hangout. Please take the time to watch both of these videos and become familiar with utilizing them. I understand this form of communication is not the norm however, the use of google hangouts allows us to communicate more frequently.
For my students, we will be following a remote learning half day schedule, where all eight periods will meet. Having a schedule to follow will make your day more productive and time efficient. I understand that many of you will have extra responsibilities at home assisting siblings, parents, and other family members, this is a great opportunity for you to model a positive role in society. Please take this mandated self distancing seriously, watch the news, and reflect on what is occuring in the world around us.
Please continue to check your email and google classroom regularly. Stay healthy.
